It has come to our attention that the recent change to the TOEFL Internet Based Test (IBT) will affect applicants in China as they will not be able to take the TOEFL until November.

Due to this situation, The Duke MBA will accept TOEFL scores from our Round 1 applicants from China until December 4, 2006. If you would like to be considered in Round 1, your application with the exception of the TOEFL score must be submitted by November 1. We will process your application and will add your TOEFL score to your file as soon as it is received in our office.

We understand the challenges that you are encountering with the TOEFL and hope that this extension for your TOEFL score submissions will allow you to apply to The Duke MBA at the best time for you.

是不是要我先提交一下TOEFL给我留个位置先？但是我打算申请在第二轮哦，是不是不用管这个EMAIL了？

是这样吧，个人理解：

ibt出了点问题，中国学生的托福要到11月才能考

所以R1的托福接受成绩的时间持续到12/4/2006。如果你想申R1，除了托福以外的材料必须于11月1日前提交。托福成绩可以再晚一个月，他们接到你的T的成绩就会再加进你的application package。

这个邮件似乎只针对第一轮的申请人

应该可以不管，学校似乎觉的第二轮的时候，托福的问题就不会存在了

我去年考了PAPER -BASED的托福，也没我的事儿了吧

Do I need to submit a TOEFL score?

All international citizens who did not earn an undergraduate degree from a school whose primary language of instruction is English must submit results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The TOEFL requirement is waived for international applicants holding non-technical master or Ph.D. degrees from colleges and universities located in the United States. Official scores must be reported directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Applicant photocopies are not accepted. If we receive multiple TOEFL scores, we will automatically use the score from the test date submitted on your application. Scores are valid for two years from the date of the test. We will not review an application with expired TOEFL test scores. Allow at least four weeks for requested TOEFL scores to reach The Duke MBA office of admissions.
