DUE TO is synonymous with ATTRIBUTABLE TO

但我一查英语字典，明明就是等于BECAUSE OF 的嘛.

哪位学长能告诉我一下

due:Capable of being attributed,与to连用。因为；由…引起；由于：
1. accidents due to  driving at high speed. 由于高速开车而引起的交通事故
2. Her illness was due to bad food.她的病是坏了的食物造成的。

due to=because of

原来两者是相等的？
