但是这里的主语是The endurance and consistency ，而the baseball star know as "The Iron House. 这不就是有分歧了吗？

难道是这里的known as...就近修饰the baseball star，而不是主语？

这里有没有涉及到关于就进原则的一些问题。真的很迷惑，请各位NN指点！谢谢！

你可以通过主谓一致和必错的IDIOM角度看看,能不能排除3个选项, 然后比较一下得出最后的答案.

known as “The Iron Horse,” 是修饰Lou Gehrig，但是句子主语是The endurance and consistency所以谓语需要用复数形式are。
