句子如下

Those who began smoking within a month of the study's start were four times as likely to be depressed at the study's end than those who did not begin smoking

是...times....than 这个as likely是干吗的? 好突兀. 米有见过. 我觉得用four times as likely.... as those...比较好. 多对等啊.. 这个要是出现在SC里，偶肯定把它枪毙了. 偶习惯性的见as adj 就去找另一个as....

这两天对比较有点敏感... 大家指点..

as likely to be depressed = prone to depression

You can think of it as the probability of group A becoming depressed = 4 x the probability of group B becoming depressed
