In choice B, the phrase the African land symbolizing the possibility of freedom to him suggests without reason that only one of the various African lands symbolized the possibility of freedom to Garvey.  没看懂

我觉得应该选Ａ吧，Ｂ改变句子的意思，the african land symbolizing，注意这里的the，特指特定的African land，但是原意思应该是非洲大陆的意思啊．

此外，按照ＯＧ里的好多解释，symbolizing这样的ing形式修饰的时候，一般都会有一种continuity的感觉，如果是我做的话，我会觉得symbolizing这里有问题．
