Wanna to apply for DBA in Accounting in Fall 2008, when should I take the GMAT? I am thinking of the end of this Nov. or Dec.

I am going to grad. school in the coming Fall and graduating in the Fall of 2007. Since most of the dealines of DBA application in the States are around Dec. 10, I wonder if I should take the GMAT at the end of year so that I could have nearly a year to prepare for other admission materials (i.e. goal statement, statement of research interest, & etc.)
