会计硕士选校问题~ UIUC,IU,U of Notre Dame

大家好, 我来自台湾, 申请2006 fall都是会计硕士, 想专攻税法, 在目前拿到的ad中, 始终无法下定决心的是这三家:
uiuc:ms-tax (mas的taxation分支)
Indiana U Bloomington及 U of Notre Dame 都是一般的会计硕士

uiuc是传统的会计名校 师资课程不用说 在台湾知名度也不错 但就是要我在开学后要考他们校内的Speak Exam 有点风险

IU 的课程设计融合实务演练的机会 但很早开学 且 学费不便宜

U of Notre Dame 在美国是传统贵族名校
graduate 的课程似乎因为成立不久
这两年才爬升到 top 10 in most and top 5 in some rankings
给我17500的奖学金 再加上校友network很强 帮助以后在美找工作
但缺点就是在台湾没有什么知名度

毕业后希望能在美工作几年后,再回台湾,所以是否容易在美找到工作是一大考虑,而这三所学校的地理位置很相近(最近的大城市似乎都是芝加哥),也各有所长,希望能听听各位的意见唷!!谢谢大家!!

My vote: Notre Dame

a Pretigous Private school,good reputation in the US, very good alumini network. It matches your career goal of finding a job upon graduation  in the US.

UIUC is good as well. I heard that they have two acounting programs. One is specially for internation students and has lower caliber.

I am just curious that why you picked taxation if your long term goal is going back to Taiwan. My percerption is that taxation regulation in Taiwan is different from US's.You got to retake taxation if you are charted as a CPA in the US. However,you might serve US clients.

If you want to focus on Taxation, the UIUC one that you got in seems have some niche. You probacly should prioritize your own criteria like program's reputation, job perspetive and school's reputation in Taiwan. Weigh them... then see which one you like better.

If i was in this situation, I will contact these senior students from Taiwan in both programs. Their opinions should be very valuable.
