[求助]一些语法问题

各位兄弟姐妹，我有两道语法提不太明白，望赐教。
Lactose, （a） sugar（present） in milk, is one of（simple） sugars used in （food） preparations for infants.
我也知道 C 有问题，可不知怎么改。
The Hopi, （descendants） of the （prehistoric） Anasazi people, are （a） Pueblo （people） who of the southwestern United States.
此题的答案为D，但我不明白为什么不能改C，把 a 去掉。
