想問兩題文法問題

想請問各位兩題問題

1.Along the eastern coast of Taiwan _______ and gergous blue sea water.
  a. are breath-taking cliffs
  b. are there breath-taking cliffs

這題答案是a,可是b為什麼不對呢?

this sentence is a inversion.   we can read this sentence like this way:

Breath-taking cliffs and gergous blue sea water are along the eastern coast of Taiwan.   Thus, A is correct.   in B, " are there..." is kind of pattern " are there something?", obviously, B is not right.

Thx a lot. But I still have a question is that even though the inverse sentence it is, why not the original sentence can be "There are breath-taking cliffs and gergous blue sea water along the easten coast of Taiwan" ?

2.The duck-billed platypus has been described as the strangest mammal _____ is in the world
   a.which
   b.there

這題答案是b,可是1.which在文法上有什麼錯?2.there是虛主詞,所以前面省略which(or 其他我也不確定)可是這樣原句不就變成The duck-billed platypus has been described as the strangest mammal which there is in the world 怪怪的...雖然我承認 the strangest mammal there is in the world 比 the strangest mammal which is in the world 通順...

這題答案是a,可是b為什麼不對呢?

=======> "balance" i guess,   Along the eastern coast of Taiwan  are  breath-taking cliffs and gergous blue sea water.
