你错了 .你这种用法的话应该是the northern and the southern alphabets  are derived from the armaic script

C，正确理解应该是both the northern and the southern Indian alphabets derive from the Aramaic script.

有两种可能的理解：

 1 both the northern and the southern Indian alphabets derive from the Aramaic script.

 2 the Aramaic script derives from both the northern and the southern Indian alphabets

因为如果关系代词whom或which和一个含有介词的及物动词短语连用时，介词应放在关系代词的前面。derive from这里的derive 显然是不及物动词。所以2的理解是错误的，因为若是这样理解就成了，

the Aramaic script,  which derive from both the northern and the  southern Indian alphabets 这时from是不必前置的～

显然无选项合适。那么该题就是第一种解释了～
