请教明人：申请USA  TOP5 MBA  GMAT710， v33 69％, m51 99％, GPA 86％；GMAT是不是会拖后腿，要重新考？

Depends on your background. 710 is fine. But for Wharton, your verbal's percentile is too low, only 69%, so may be a disadvantage. But everything is possible if you have a very strong background and write good essays.

however, I heard that gmat and GPA are both used to assess the ability of an applicant to suceed in the MBA programme. I aquired 2 bachelor's degrees during the 4 years in one of the top 10 university in China. While my acedemic achievement is around 86%(ranked the first in the major). does this mean that I am ok with such a gmat score?

other background of mine is that I have worked as a manager supervising less than 10 people with a soe, and now in a similar position with a multinational company.

She is right. You should focus on your essays and you can make it with a good background. Also, GPA is GPA, no change any more, so what you can do now is to make other things better. 86% GPA is fine. Can you convert to 0-4? Normally, above 3 is fine and above 3.5 is better.

For GMAT, you can take a look at the average GMAT for schools you have interested in. If your GMAT is around the average score, you will be fine. A professor at Wharton told me they denied several 800.

As I remember, there are some posts discuss GMAT710 at CD. You can search with key word "710".

as to the conversion of % to GPA, according to the survey conducted after gmat test, 80% equals 3 and 90%up equals 4, so 86 should equal 3.6. And the average gmat scores of both wharton and hbs  are between 700-710.

and the search with 710 is very fruitful.

反正我觉得710除了wharton的verbal必须要比85%的高的传说不符合，其他学校，我知道还有700去的呢。
