这道题中，and some tens of thousands of parish churches.我想可以理解为好几万教区中的一些教堂，可是觉得some tens of thousands of 这样的说法好像有点怪，想跟NN们求证一下。另外OG答案中没有对D选项进行分析，D选项我觉得语法上没有错，只是there could be built的表达较为冗长，不知道分析是否正确，还望各高手赐教！

我觉得there could be built这种表达法是不正确的。

there be应该是表示一种存在状态，就像there is a book.不存在主动和被动的概念。

既然是be built,那完整的就会存在sth be built by sb.这两部份内容，那么既可以用主动表达，也可以用被动表达，完全不需要there be built这种表达方式。

我刚刚查了薄冰语法，上面说“这种结构中的there本身无词义，……，其后的动词be具有存在之义，所以是一实义动词。”“there be结构还可以用被动式，这时be即变成了助动词，如：There are now published millions of books every year in China.现在中国每年出版成百万册书。On the following day,there was held a splendid banquet.第二天大摆盛宴。”

第一个问题呢？some tens of thousands of……？
