定语从句修饰问题--两道题目的比较

定语从句修饰只能作为判断一个句子好不好的标志，不能成为这个句子致命性错误的标志，我总结了两个关于此类的题目，大家可以一起探讨比较。核心：对比不同的句子，找到问题更大，错误更多的句子。

1.Hydrocarbons, with which fruit flies perfume themselves in species-specific blends, are known to be important in courtship, and apparently this assists flies that taste the hydrocarbons on prospective mates to distinguish their own species from that of others.

第一题的C选项不是正确答案，原因是which如果修饰hydrocarbons结构上离得比较远（意思上一眼就可以看出来），E选项也存在一个小错误，in distinguishing...修饰assisting也离得比较远。
第二题的C选项是正确选项，但是定语从句的that修饰radio离得比较远，that前面按照顺序依次是conversation, tool, radio几个名词,如果从结构上看应该按照conversation tool radio的顺序去找修饰。（意思上一眼就可以看出来）

个人疑问：第二题我觉得in distinguishing和which修饰对象太远，都是犯的一样的错误，为什么选择E不选择C？

C. assist的发出者是hydrocarbons，",which"结构修饰最近的名词，最多跳过一个介短，而C结构是 "SVO, which“，which根本就修饰不到S。

E. 我觉得in distinguishing这里是介短做状语修饰，状语修饰的放置位置比较灵活

修饰位置一般来说不是绝对错误，最好先把其他的绝对错误先排除了，再考虑修饰位置的问题吧

assist in doing是固定搭配……

Fruit Fly 那题assist ... in 中间的关键修饰能移到后面是最好，可是后面也没有合适的位置将这个定语从句后置，所以只能放在这里了
Radio 那题C选项定语从句修饰并不会产生很明显的歧义，相比之下C更好了

不好意思，手误了。第一题的c错了，第二题的c对了。所以我想比较一下。

修饰位置其实就是意思的意思，一般这个词在这个位置会修饰靠近的词语。如第一题的C的which, which一般修饰靠近的词语，不是修饰烃，所以意思错误。
