我晕了，好多as 和with, 请问大神们，究竟怎么确定对比对象？我感觉这道题里，我对比Internet和telegraph也没问题呢？

网上大家是这么讨论的，供你参考：

Like通常比较2个名词，like后面通常跟名词
As通常比较2个动作或动词，但as后可跟动词也可跟名词

A&E 不正确，因为用like比较2个动作了
B正确平行 Just as the Internet is today often called..., the telegraph was described in its day as ...表达清楚，逻辑也正确
C不正确，as with不符合习惯用语，being today often很awkward也让人疑惑
D不正确，因为比较不平行。比较the Internet(名词）和the telgraph was described in its day as an instananeous highway of thought(动作）

回答一下题主问的“比较telegram和Internet”的问题，题干比较的对象不是telegram和Internet，而是两者叫法的对比，即”telegram being described”和“Internet is called“的对比，所以A与E都不对

首先带comma的均不对。
因为带comma的话句子结构如下（拿A举例子）：Like..., often being called..., the telegraph was described as...
being called所修饰的对象是后面clause的主语the telephone，和原文本意完全不同。所以带comma的D/E选项同理直接可以排除，这是句子结构带来的meaning错误问题。

其次在B/C选项之间
as with基本上是在GMAT中是不对的idiom类型。所以直接排除C，选择B。

这道题其实不用纠结是谁在比较谁，虽然看句意可以明白是”telegram being described”和“Internet is called“的对比，但是一开始没有看出来也不影响做题。
