Manhattan上在第六章关于修辞的练习题第5题，更改后正确的句子是:
Many buys cookies made with SugarFree,an artificial sweetener,which tastes as sweet as the corn syrup that her brother loves but which contains fewer calories than does an equivalent amount of corn syrup.
我的问题是，为什么as sweet as 后面没有does？而后面一句的比较中就有does.
求指点~~

the omission in the former part will not create ambiguity， which is clearly not the case in the latter part

一般情况下，只有主语比较时才会补出helping verbs.
合乎语法规则的情况是，主谓宾结构，主语比较必须补出helping verb，避免变成宾语比较带来歧义。
但是在主谓结构的句子中，主语比较时，helping verb一般是不需要补出的。只是GMAT认为不出了也不算错

哦，明白了。
前一个分句....SugarFree, ... , which tastes as sweet as the corn syrup that her brother loves是主谓结构进行主语比较（sugarfree tastes sweet)，所以不加does也不会引起歧义；后一个分句 which contains fewer calories than does an equivalent amount of corn syrup是主谓宾结构(sugarfree contains clories)，所以比较后必须加does以避免变成宾语比较带来的歧义。

第六版的答案是：

Mary buys cookies made with the artificial sweetener SugarFree, which tastes as sweet as the corn syrup that her brother loves but which has fewer calories than does an equivalent amount of the corn syrup.

不太理解为什么前面用了which后面but后还要再加一个which? than does中的does 为什么前置呢？
