语法推理精讲上一道例题

最近刚开始看helr老师的书有道例题想不明白 - p75 例题6:
Skeletal studies show that the mole's thumb forms from an elongated wrist bone, explaiing that, the pseudo-thumb, as compared with true digits, which have multiple parts, consist of a single, bladelike bone.

A. wrist bone, explaiing that, the pseudo-thumb, as compared with true digits, which have multiple parts, consist
B .wrist bone, explaiing that, the pseudo-thumb, as compared to true digits, having multiple parts, consist
C.wrist bone and that it explains why,as compared with true digits, which have multiple parts, the pseudo-thumb consists
D. wrist bone, and it explains the pseudo-thumb, unlike true diits, which have multiple parts,consists
E.wrist bone,a formation that explains why, unlike true digits, whichhave multiple parts, the pseido-thyumb consists

关于选项A，B中排除的原因是explaining that的逻辑论元是 the mole‘s thumb，与逻辑不符
可是我以为如果explaining that 作为伴随结构逻辑主语论元可以当做是skeletal studies，那就可以说得通，而排除答案可以通过谓语动词consist来判断不知道有哪位XDJM可以解答下我的疑惑？

A和B，主语谓语不一致。
C和D，and前的两个句子（即the mole's thumb forms from an elongated wrist bone和 it explains why,as compared with true digits, which have multiple parts, the pseudo-thumb consists of a single, bladelike bone.）在逻辑上并不是独立平行的概念。AND的出现让两句句子呈现出独立平行的关系。A和B中的comma＋ing已经暗示句子的intended meaning是想告诉你这个发现同时explain一件事情。
E用同位语的方式清晰表达了the mole's thumb forms from an elongated wrist bone这个东西explain了后面那句句子。
