我选D，答案是B，解释说平行，但是总是觉得这种平行很奇怪
而且and has coloring completely different from that of ...这里需要用加that of 吗？

要加that of 这是比较结构的用法

这里所谓的平行是指单数平行，后面的几个动词live，is，has都是修饰a new species of sparrow 的

而D选项dependent 是复数，与前面的不平行哦~~~

A项almost wholly dependent on the berries of a certain type of vine that grows on cypress trees缺乏引导词，如果作为插入语，应该后面打逗号。

B项has coloring is多个谓语。

C项谓语, is almost wholly 悬挂。错

D，如果almost wholly dependent on the berries of a vertain type of vine that frows on cypress trees, and 是插入语就不能有and，否则错误同A。

E项，多个现在分词短语做定语并列，通常GMAT不接受，除非其他项都错误，而且different than搭配错。

对于B项，我想题目应该是没有 and has coloring （is） completely different 中间那个is 的。

B可以想通，但是还有一个问题，就是ING与从句到底什么时候选哪个啊
这里选的是B，我想E里面的DIFFERENT THAN应该是打错了吧，为什么E不对呢？

E错误是多个现在分词作定语，这个修饰有歧义，GMAT通常不接受

况且E选项没有使用that of 比较不平行~~~

that ,dependent ,whose 三者都为定语修饰S 。错就错在，that ,whose 为定语从句形式。而dependent 为形容词后置定语形式！因此三者关系不平行。

dependent在这里是作形容词存在的，不是复数
