答案D: 用了so .. as to.
但B为什么不对. 用了so that.
so .. as to 和so that, so...that 的使用原则是什么, 如何区分.

句子前面用了although,后面就不用but了
so ... as to用在简单的系表结构中, 而且结果状语的主语要与主句主语一致。
因为so...that可以在很多的复杂的结构中使用，所以比较常见，但并不是说so ... as to就一定是错的。

so that应该是“为的是，以便”的意思，比如 I gave him a little food so (that) he wouldn't get hungry.

感觉这里的that可以省略，要不要都行吧。不知道对不对，请大侠指点。
