1）如何判断是用its , their，就是通过the chain of retail stores吗？A　of B,以A来判断？有没有可能是用B来判断呢。我拿不定。
2）除了代词的差别，D，E两个选项还有什么差别？如果没有代词的差别是，E会不会更好一些。

1. 两个判断，一是时态，D中的it estimates... would be... this year是不对的；二是在according to 在句首时，尤其是“，”分开时，后面的内容尽量不采用it does....，而是直接说内容。
2. 句首的"To ensure consistently high quality in its merchandise,"已经表明了its，所以根据未划线部分判断。另外in every garment是前面the number of stitches and the width of teh hem 的修饰对象，E变成了同BUT ALSO后的内容的并列，而且有the width of the hem 修饰，并列关系混乱。

我觉得你要选择也因该是在d/c中，因为首先根据并列not only but also
