这句话的意思是说：在古代泰国，当地大部分工匠的创作精力都花在了创作佛像、建造和装饰寺庙上，在那里佛像被供奉着。
in which they were enshrined，这句话的正常语序应该是：they(buddha images) were enshrined in (the temples). they指代buddha images, which 指代temples。in 之所以在这里是因为介词必须提前
