关于逗号+动词ing的用法

遇到了很多这种类型的题目很头疼。
Q1. 正确 A mutual fund having billions of dollars in assets will typically invest that money in hundreds of companies, rarely holding more than one percent of the shares of any particular corporation. 这里的holding OG明确表示就是指 a mutual fund
Q2. 错误 The Olympic Games helped to keep peace among the pugnacious states of the Greek world, proclaiming a sacred truce during the festival's month 这里 OG就明确表示是错的，因为proclaiming指代不明

我不明白的是为什么Q1就是正确的？Q2为什么会指代不明不是明明白白就是指Olympic Games的么？

Q3的正确答案是A，那为什么这里D错了？ drawing conclusion为什么又不能形容Neuroscientist？？？
Ron有个解释，逗号+动词ing里面，动词ing能够修饰主句的主语要满足两个要求:1. immediate consequence 2. simultaneous。（详见https://www.manhattanprep.com/gmat/forums/neuroscientists-having-amassed-a-wealth-of-knowledge-t11470.html）

希望有大神能够解释下关于逗号+动词ing形容前面句子的主语的问题，什么样的指代是明确的，什么样的指代是不明的。这个问题困扰了好久了。

关于D错误的原因我的理解是这里把have amassed a wealth of knowledge 当成主句，然后把 drawing solid conclusions当成修饰语是不恰当的因为作者想强调的应该是现在发生的事件也就是 Neuroscientists are now drawing solid conclusions. 所以这句话应该是主句，过去的事件可以当成修饰语。
不是大神，纯粹个人理解

Q2 不是指代不明，楼主的理解是对的 proclaiming 是修饰preceding clause 的主语，但是问题是The Olympic games 无法 proclaim （宣布），proclaim 的主语一般是人

Q3 就如楼上所说句子的重心发生了改变，所以D是不对的。

Q3中now drawing 及其后面变成了modifier，而comma+ving修饰时一般是跟着主句时态走的，此时主句时态是现在完成时（have amssed），而now明确指的是一般现在时，所以二者不兼容☜ 我是这么理解的
