its是代词，指代 a proposed new style‘s。代词优于主句出现，如代词单复数与主句主语一致，则必然指代主句主语

当然是可以的啦，OG里面有好多先行词出现在主句之前的句子例子哦，比如下面这句来自OG16 - 49 题。这里his 就先出现了，指代后面 chief excutive.
