A选项，也就是原句 OG 给出的错误解释是 The first part of the sentence illogically compares prices to a time.

#104
Heating-oil prices are expected to be higher this year than last because refiners are paying about $5 a barrel more for crude oil than they were last year.
原句正确，为什么这句话就不是prices 和 time 的错误比较？

想了很久，没想通，求指点

个人感觉第一句中的now 是副词所以句子的前半部分没有对应的时间状语结构如果是
Prices at the producer level are only 1.3 percent higher this year than a year ago 省略就是正确的

第二句话很明显符合省略规则两个比较对象有对应的时间状语结构

they 指代 refiners ; 用 they were 是因为省略

层主要看懂句子的意思，不然光做题是事倍功半的

#90这个句子中prices are higher now than a year ago有错么？看不出什么错呀。不是跟Heating-oil prices are expected to be higher this year than last一个类型么？

感觉＃90里面的"and therefore raised"是个明显错误。are hurting crops and therefore raised verb tense不一致。
