The nostalgic image of Myanmar, as a country frozen in time, was preserved by the isolation 与The nostalgic image of Myanmar was preserved, as a country frozen in time.by the isolatrion.这两句话有区别么？讲解上说前者是“ a country frozen in time” 和Myanmar 形成“作为”关系，后者是 acountry frozen in time 和 the nostalgic image of Myanmar形成“作为”关系. 有点不太理解。

第一个as是介词, 表作为。 As your friend, I will always be on your side.

第二个as也是介词（已更正, 避免误导), 但会导致句意不通, as a country (frozen in time by isolation....)进行对比的在这个句子是image，然而实际应该是Myanmar.

另外连词的话两边成分不应该一样么？后面这句as后只是a country frozen in time啊。这个连词和介词的判断又是怎么来的啊

这么理解吧。第一句as a country frozen in time紧跟Myanmar，说是修饰Myanmar说得通；第二句as...紧跟preserved，这里被preserve的是image of Myanmar，所以as...修饰image。但是a country来修饰image就怪怪的，如果是SC估计第二句就是错的。

不好意思，前面我说第二个句中的as是连词，可能是看漏了从句的谓语。那个应该也是介词, 错误的把image和country两个不同的概念进行对比.

as 在gmat中作连词有三个意思, 作介词也有三个意思, manhatan prep idiom那一章有, 你查下longman dictionary也可以.
as在句中如果是接noun/noun phase，就是介词. 如果接带有独立主谓结构的句子，就是连词. 反推亦是如此。所以在判断应该使用介词还是连词时，应该根据句意看对比的对象是一个物/人 (noun/noun phase), 还是一件事情 (clause).
