请教为什么C错？我的理解是it指代本句主语project 这样有什么问题吗？

楼主理解 it 指代对象为主语project，也并没有什么不对，但在语义表达上不太合理。因为这个句子是想表达由于游客的“touch”而产生的activate。。。的反应，而不是直接由project引发的。

这里activate之前是省略了to的，还原一下，应该是 to “touch” and thereby （to） activate（鼓励游客）　“接触”　并因此　（鼓励游客）　“激发”。

这就是说激发的只能是人。it不能指代visitors，而要用they
