句意：历史上没有其他事件可以和哈雷彗星1910-1911年的回归更有世界范围影响了。
比较：哈雷彗星的回归&整个历史景象，而非D所表达的意思：哈雷彗星本身&它的回归。

其实只要抓住一点，只能是Halley's Comet do/did 不能是Halley's Comet 's return do/did，而c就是（Halley's Comet did）in its return of 1910-1911
