OG上关于A、B选项中equivalent的解释是Equivalent to does not make it clear that the two groups are being compared with respect to numbers.以及The equivalent is the wrong term for the intended comparison; it should be made clear that the comparison concerns the numbers of people in both groups and not some broader concept.

想请教一下大家关于equivalent的用法。不太理解OG上的解释

考的是平行不是单词用法啦
....X, about....Y
X和Y 应该是一类东西这里要平行的

原句想表达的是这 800万（数量），相当于 xxxx （这里也应该是数量才平行）
所以看选项喽
A. 数量和登记比肯定错
B. 数量和人比肯定错
C. 同上肯定错
D. 数量和过程比肯定错
E. 不用想了

我感觉。。equivalent 有点大词的意思，感觉是比较两种概念上的东西的平等，比如男女平等，政治权利平等之类的。而比较数量的时候，应该as many as来。不知道对不对。。
而E这个答案，我感觉上它其实是通过were 省略了people，从而达到前后比较对象一致。。
