035 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Attending a live performance (for example, a play, concert, or sporting event) is more enjoyable than watching the same event on television. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

The statement in the direction is a long-term consideration of many people including me. There are different views concerning this topic. Most people hold the opinion that, in many ways, attending a live performance is more enjoyable than watching the same event on television. Others, however, prefer the contradict one. As far as I am concerned, my preference is for attending a live performance, which might be the contemporary trend, over just watching television, even if at the same time, with the same event. There are many instances supporting my view.

There are numerous reasons why I would like attending a live performance, and I would in here explain a few of the most important ones. The main reason is that being there, I would be deeply infected by the real atmosphere, which might be ignored by people who just seated in front of the TV, switching channels from time to time. It can be given a concrete example. As we know, so many people in the world are so fascinated with football. When we watch the most vital final game of World Cup with hundreds of thousand of football fans, appreciating the elegant actions of our favorite football player stars, cheering up for the score gained by our supported team, hardly might we not evolve in such air. Only for this reason, so many people like me cannot give up the choice of attending a live performance.

Another reason why I advocate the attitude of enjoying a live show is that we can escape ourselves from the advertisement, which is always appearing at the most exciting moment, and because of this, our feelings will never be interrupted by such never lasting annoying things. Nowadays, the most welcome program showed on TV always accompanying with advertisement The more the popularity of the grogram there is, the more the advertisement there is. You can understand my preference more deeply, if you see that advertisements occupy the most of the golden hours of the program schedule, overwhelming the program itself, spoiling our interest to the event.

Furthermore, the third reason, however, goes this way: Attending a live performance offers us the first hand information, which happened on the spot. Thus we can appreciate the event with ideas of ourselves, but not always influenced by the interpreter, whose judgment would not always fits everyone’s taste.

Of course, choosing to watch the same event on television also has seemingly profound advantages to some extent, for instance, no need worry about the traffic, let along the difficulty of parking, etc. Obviously, however, the advantages of attending a live performance outnumber to those of watching television. Moreover, As a matter of fact, I must admit there are also some disadvantages in attending a live performance, such as annoyed by the chaos caused on the spot, worried about the changing of weather, and so on. But these can be compensated by its advantages.
