求教：哥伦比亚的一月入学

新手报道，请教一个问题。

疙瘩有一个一月份入学的课程，究竟具体与九月份的差别在哪里？

尤其作为中国学生，这种差别对就业和事业带来的影响有多大？本人从来没有在美国工作过。

虽然疙瘩网上有，但是由于信息不对称，无法了解读一月份项目的中国留学生的情况。

希望斑竹们和大侠出手相助！

Main difference is summer internship. If you are going back to the same industry, it'll be a perfect program. If not, I suggest you to stick with 2 yr programs.

Thanks very much Prelude. I plan to go back to the same industry, fund management, but not in China but in USA. Is that OK to go for J-term?

Another questions is the summer internship. Is that right that the J-term has consecutive 16 months periods with no intervals so that students are impossible to work for an internship? Is it possible to still work as part-time internship in J-term?

How much does it impact an international student's career without an internship? I just very confused and hesitated...

同意楼上，如果不是想回到原来的公司，或者和原来公司同类的公司，比如说from ms to gs,还是不要上j term

谁知道在J-term的具体情况?

只认识一个这样的人，不过他读书前在美国工作了两年，在香港工作了一年，他不需要实习，还是回原来的公司。节约时间和钱啊，不过对于大部分中国学生，不觉得很适合。
