给的答案是A 我就是觉得C好像也没错，而且A里面那个produce 和 make 可以公用一个it吗？特别是在后面还有一个understandable的情况下？

只要不引起歧义，就可以省略。
A选项中的从句完整结构因该是：processes that produce （the language） and make the language understandable... ，简单的主谓宾结构，省略前面那个the language也不会引起歧义，对吧？

C选项中的句意错了。我把其中的定语从句改写一下：it is produced and understood by the processes. 句意是it（the language）被process理解，显然不合逻辑。因为理解的主语应该是人，而不是process。

C is wrong for two reasons:
(1) The subject is research, which is singular, so the verb must be also singular, that is, "has"
(2) Active is better than passive: produce and make it understandable better than is produced and understood

我認為這題答案應是A。兩個點：

1. SC中從未出現過instead of的正確答案搭配。反而not...but rather than常常是正確答案的慣用結構。
instead出現在正確選項中的，只有單獨作為副詞的用法。

2. C選項子句還原後的「it is produced and understood by processes」個人認為合理。
因為被動句 by + N時，by+N的N也可以傳達「管道」的含意。
比如此正確句子：
「...chimpanzees exhibit the kind of curiosity by which new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed on from one to another by imitation and practice」句意上應該是行為與表達模式被猩猩傳遞，by後面接的應該是管道。如同中文的「透過」

知道啦哦。谢谢啦，关于AA，因为后面还有一个understandable，会不会引起produce it understandable的歧义呢。

我也觉得自己太过在意pronoun的问题了，虽然not。。。but。。。有点奇怪但是指不出语法哪里错了

歧义的意思是让人误解成另外一个意思。
produce it understandbable 这个结构根本是错的，无法用语言解释，自然够不上是歧义啦
