E at least as great as that incurred by using air conditioning.
为什么conditioning's 不可以了？

E Speaking habitually of the truly needy is instilling the gradual notion.

选TO OR V-ING到底有什么标准没？

Because young children do not organize their attention or perceptions systematically,like adults,they may notice and remember details that their elders ignore.
A like adults
B unlike an adult
C as adults
D as adults do
E as an adult
like 和as 到底怎么区分，我觉的这里用unlike 没有什么错，而且OG有题是like xx,,xxxxxx..
而且就算是用as,那as adults可不可以说是 as adults do 把DO省略的结果，如果是省略，那什么时候省？

1、那个's 后是什么？前后的对比在哪里？即比较的FOCUS是什么？
2、主要是E不好在后面改成了is instilling the gradual notion，改变了对称的结构，并不是TO和V-ING引起的。
3、首先B不对，2个原因，一是前面是young children（复数），unlike an adult（单数），不对称；二是由于前面是否定句，UNLIKE 的意思就变得模糊起来，你可以还原到本句体会一下。而AS ADULTS DO就没有这个问题，这是个对ADULTS的肯定的句子。AS ADULTS DO的DO不能省略。
