我的理解。A的错误在于，possibly a result ···是一个同位语，（明显不是独立主格，对吧）。那么修饰preceded noun。所以就有confusion了，因为搞不清这里的因果关系。到时是什么的result？
B正确，因为前面的句子已经很明确的表明suffering because food···，所以as a result 不会再是修饰suffering的了，就近修饰food···，causal关系明确。
我第一遍也做错了，马后炮。

我最不能理解的是 suffer from 为什么是 not idiomatic ,,,,

海面温度上升，有可能是creature suffer的原因，也有可能是food supply dwindling的原因。
