The statement asserts that nowadays people find it more important to work quickly even with some mistakes than to work slowly through thorough consideration. In other words, we need to make a choice between the "speed" and the "quality". Considering the indispensable role that quality plays in our daily life and career development, I largely disagree with the argument. However, under certain circumstance, we still cannot eliminate the possibility that speed is significant in some way.
d To begin with, I believe that full consideration is the most significant characteristic in our work. Would you like to submit a hasty report with several problems to your manager a week before the deadline? Or just make sure everything is perfect and then send it to your leader one day ahead of the deadline? Obviously, the latter is better. It is the people, able to consider many different situations, who can make sure that a projection or a program can be conducted successfully. For instance, a fashion show was going to be held outdoor, and everything seemed so smoothly that the employees finished all the work very quickly. However, just two days before the formal performance, there was a pretty strong and disastrous thunderstorm, destroying all the stages, lights and seats. Because of failing to take into account the possibility that the weather might change, the whole workload and investment were ruined by a casual mistake, even though the preparation was completed ahead of time.

Moreover, making sure that everything is correct is also a necessary merit, especially for students. What we hear most from our teachers' and parents' instructions is that we should study meticulously, without ignoring anything important points and making any unnecessary mistakes. Just think about the situation: how many times you finished a paper so quickly that others were still struggling with their paper, while your paper was not only lack of deep thinking but also dotted with several wrong words, which could totally have be avoided if you had spent a little patience to review the paper. Thus, we definitely should attach more importance on the quality, rather than the time.
d However, although I agree with that we need to pay more attention to make sure thoroughly, admittedly, under urgent circumstances, "speed" could be more appropriate for us to choose. As we know, a terrifying earthquake happened in China in 2008, taking away so many lives and flattening vast lands. Doctors and nurses hadn't a lot of medical equipment, yet the first thing is to save lives as quickly as possible, because the golden time, 48 hours after the disaster, was significantly crucial. If patients had had to wait until all the roads were repaired, almost none of them could survive. So even rescuers could not make sure that everything was correct, it is honorable for them to appear in the disaster area in time.
d In conclusion, normally speaking, making sure a thorough consideration even time consuming is advantageous for our work and study, for it can help us eliminate some unnecessary mistakes or even huge loss. On the contrary, since time is the extremely crucial factor in certain urgent situations, risking making some mistakes can also be acceptable. After all, what we need to do is to make a good balance between the two aspects in our life.
