为什么later generation 不是resulting from的逻辑主语呢？？？？？

这个要从语义上理解，later generation不可能是resulting from 的逻辑主语。resulting作为v-ing现在分词，所以其逻辑主语要发出这个resulting的动作，然而later generation lost all 显然不可能发出resulting 这个动作，只能是作为（as）a reslut of ....
这里面语义很重要，希望能帮到你

what on earth is the result? what on earth is the cause?

B: ..........resulted and.........weird, so elinimate........
C:because of the result of.........weird, so.......

resulting from prep, (caused by, due to)
Look at A: later generations result from..............weird, right?
E: the result was later generation.......

E lacks of " that" . the right way should be" and the result was that..............."
So, we can only go with D

这道题的D有疑问：as a result of作为opening modifier，是修饰的主语还是整个句子？难道介词短语做opening modifier的时候和v-ing,v-ed adj作为opening modifier的情况不一样，可以修饰整个句子？？求解释！！
