lz,没有看到OG解释的原话，不好评论OG，但我想LZ你可能搞错了。第一句为什么evidence不能作主语，因为前面的Digging，要和主语相一致，而且后面的suggesting 这里修饰了scientists，造成了句意的混淆。

第二句，scientists作主语与Digging一致，而suggesting修饰evidence 是符合逻辑的。
