Both the writing material and the listening material are disscussing wether the tissues of T.rex were left behind in fossils.
Firstly, the writer argues that many channels were discovered in the leg bone and an organic substance were found inside the channels. The writer believes that these substance are the blood vessels of T.rex. The lecturer contradicts that the soft remains could be something else. It was likely to be the organic material left in the bones produced by bacteria dominating after the T.rex was dead.
Socendly, the lecturer suggests that microscopic examination revealed the possibility of red blood cells being left behind. Spheres were present which contains iron - a vital material for red blood cells to transport oxygen. More importantly, the spheres had a dark center which indicates the existence of iron and it has the size of red blood cells. The writer cast doubt on the fact that identical sphere was found in primitive animals too. However, they did not have blood cells. The differences indicates the remains could be redish mineral.
Thirdly, the writer assters that since the leg bone was found to have collagen which is a major component of bone tissue, it is likely for it to be true that the tissue of T.rex was left behind in the fossil. The lecturer points out that no collagen had ever been found to be more than 100,000 years old that since the collagen was found in 70 million years old fossil it was unlikely to be from the T.rex. He suggested it to be from the researchers who handled the fossil.
Do you agree or disagree with the flowing statement?
One of the best ways that parents can help their teeage children prepare for a adult life is to encourage them to take a part-time job.
I agree with the opinion that one of the best ways for parents to help their teenage children prepare for adlut life is to encourage them to take a part-time job.
First of all, having a part-time job will allow teeagers to learn how to cooperate with others. Today, almost every job we do requires coperation. If a child want to do their job in the work place, they will have to learn how to think in other people's shoes. Learning how to corperate is something I belive to be very important to learn in the early age. For example, a child will be more social if he or she has a part-time job. I worked in a computer company when I was young and although I'm not social in school I tried hard to communicate with my co-workers. I gave me an idea of how I'm to work in my adulthood, which gives me preparation of having a full-time job when I grow up. With the knowledge of what working was like, I become less afraid before I apply for a job when I grew up.
Secondly, a teenager will learn how to spend their money more efficiently if they have a part-time job. According to my experience spending the money my parents gave me is very different from spending the money I earned myself. When I tried to sprend the pocket money I tend to blow them off on anything I saw. When I see something I like I buy them. On the other hand, spending money I earned really took me some serious thinking. I wanted to spend the hard earned money on something I wanted the most and then second the most. This will encourage the yound children to be swift and really start to manage their money. Therefore, once they tasted the joy they will have when they plays with the things they bought with their own money, they will be more likely to work on their own and purchase their own staff rather than ask for money from someone else.
Thirdly, having a part-time job really encourages the teenagers to appreciate what they have. Children usually play with the things they bought with the money they earned until they don't want to play any more and never will touch them again but with the things they bought with their parents money they will easily get bored and just expect them to buy something new. They will learn to be swift once they become adult because nobody will be buying things for them.
In conclusion, encourage the children to take a part-time job is one of the best ways to prepare them for their adult life. |
