求指点，so as to/so...as to...的区别与用法

OG13-39：
Although schistosomiasis is not often fatal,it is so debilitating that it has become an economic drain on many developing countries.
A it is so debilitating that it has become an economic
B it is of such debilitation,it has become an economical
C so debilitating is it as to become aneconomic
D such is its debilitation,it becomes an economical
E there is so much debilitation that it has become an economical

关于C，OG上直接说“the construction so x as to y is not a correct idiom".Elroy斑斑的OG全解的解释是“so...as to 一般不倒装，只用在简单的主系表结构中”
我彻底晕了，到底有没有so...as to这种用法，是不是C选项不用倒装就是正确的了呢？
请NN指点so as to/so...as to用法

so as to和so...as to是两种用法，个人感觉这两种用法都不是GMAT所偏爱的。
（1）...so as to...：
第一，一般用于indirect intention，ron大神说Gmat一般不会在这个上面做文章的。
第二，Ron大神说的是- "....so as to...." there should be no change of subject, and so there's an implication that the subject is the same as the subject of the previous clause/action.
e.g.
Congress is debating a bill requiring certain employers to provide workers with unpaid leave so as to care for sick or newborn children. (the only subjects of actions in the previous clauses are "congress" and "certain employers". therefore, the sentence is implying that one of these two entities is actually going to care for sick or newborn children! That does not make sense!)

之前我看Elroy的笔记里说的是so as to的逻辑主语和主句一致
而prep里面说是so as to最好用于单一的主谓或主系表结构中，名词太多的话，容易引起歧义和指代不清。【充分说明这个结构不是那么好使】

（2）so...as to
Ron大神在manhattan论坛上的讲解：
- "so...as to..." in general, you don't use so ADJ as to VERB unless the VERB describes some sort of state/condition. (i.e., if the verb is an action verb, this construction generally isn't used.)
e.g.
I am so ugly as to be viscerally repulsive to women. --> this works, because the verb“to be" describes a state/condition.
I am so ugly as to repel women on sight. --> you generally wouldn't see this in good writing, as "repel" is an action verb; the sentence would probably be written as I am so ugly that I repel women on sight.
