3.28 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It's easier for parents to raise children today than it was 50 years ago.
Every time when we go to the supermarket, seeing the baby’s paper napkins, baby stroller, or some electronic toys, my mother often make exclamation like “How troublesome it was without these useful staff when you were born!” Indisputably, along with the rapid development of technology and significant improvement in productivity, it is much less time-consuming on baby’s nursing chores. Nevertheless, one cannot overstate the convenience brought by science while underestimate the  tremendous pressure in raising children. I refute the idea that it is more readily to bring up a child than it was in the past.
In the first place, increasingly fiercely competition of society had put forward great challenge to not only adults but also to their descendant. Just take children’s education problem--the ever-lasting heatedly discussed topic of parents-- for example. Numerous women start to train their babies since pregnancy. Large amount of extra-curricular classes and training school make huge profit from youngsters. According to a newspaper, Teresa, a mother from a low-income family, send her five-year-old boy to twelve classes a week after school. Eagerness to provide life of higher quality for their offspring exert unprecedented pressure on new parents.
Furthermore, as a result of the fast pace of modern society, company staff could hardly share adequate time with their children. Under greater economic pressure, fathers are obliged to work overtime while mothers have to go out to work all day long instead of nursing babies at home. Things are even worse for those who hold shift work. Ambitious students too, are too busy with their schoolwork to watch TV or play sports with the family which could not be too common in older families’ daily lives.
Last but not least, youngsters today are exposed to much more colorful world than their forefathers. With the proliferation of Internet, teenagers have better access to more information and more ideas, which makes them more independent and thoughtful. However, sometimes their concepts just go too far. They become so radical that even if the senior’s proposals are sensible, they would express great rebellion because they are intolerant of mother’s chatter and father’s interference. A research conducted by Hubei University show that 90% teachers believe students in the past were much more obedient.
All in all, admittedly, it has never been easy to raise a kid. However, young parents today are facing more difficulties either in materiall or psychological perspective than it was 50 years ago.

(开头好)

In the first place, increasingly fiercely(fierce) competition of society had put forward great challenge to not only adults but also to their descendant. Just take children’s education problem--the ever-lasting heatedly discussed topic of parents-- for example. Numerous women start to train their babies since pregnancy. Large amount of extra-curricular classes and training school make huge profit from youngsters. Eagerness to provide life of higher quality for their offspring exerts unprecedented pressure on new parents.
Furthermore, as a result of the fast pace of modern society, company staff could hardly share adequate time with their children. Under greater economic pressure, fathers are obliged to work overtime while(没有转折,是并列) mothers have to go out to work all day long instead of nursing babies at home. Things are even worse for those who hold shift work. Ambitious students too, are too busy with their schoolwork to watch TV or play sports with the family which could not be too common in older families’ daily lives.(主题是说养孩子难,孩子忙还是有点离题)
