(D) saturated enough with water so as to acquire the character of a liquid

只讨论跟本帖相关的部分
A项 - so ... as to ...存在action verb
B项 - 正确，且是extreme quality带来的extreme consequence，但是修饰的不是ADJ而是一个表语
C项 - 个人认为是enough的位置放错了，应该是enough water的，否则就是对的？
D项 - 不是indirect intention，同时 enough ... so as to ...也有问题，去掉so as会好一点
E项 - so much as to 同 A; 且so much位置也有问题，放在前面 saturated so much with water会好很多
