Task1.化学的有机和无机的分类
Para1.18世纪化学开始有了有机和无机之分（Q：1800以前怎样）。很多研究有机化学的科学家在无机化学上更有成就。
Para2. 无机化学为什么会比有机化学更早发展。1.无机物好提取，比如sulfur，自然界直接有pure的存在。2.有机不好提取，自然界没有pure的直接拿（Q；为什么不好提取）。
Para3. 科学家提取用distill。但有缺陷1.distill产生的物质不能保证是distill之后而不是之前就有的（Q：科学家不能保证什么）2.distill会破坏物质3.low temperature distill也有问题，并解释这种低温蒸馏是temperature is low and effective（Q: effective指什么，选项有能使反应进行的最低温度；as 低as possible等，应该是能使反应进行）
Para4. 有的有机物本身relatively pure，比如fat and blood，但提纯这些任然很困难（Q：这句话的意思, 答案应该是还不够pure）

Task1 con
Prof 认为boy的paper写得好，让他当tutor，boy说自己major是biology（Q：为什么这么说），prof说可以，如果遇到了要写biology paper 的正好可以帮上忙, 而且这个可以add credit. Boy问有没有training，prof说有series of class，然后有个experienced人带他一周（Q：boy上完培训课后还要干什么），然后就独立当tutor。Prof向引见另一个experienced人，要boy去找她。

有光能转化成热能，电能转化成热能之类的，但需要device，比如incandescence（白炽光）可以发出强大的光，但是也放很多热，而且里面有mercury（水银）toxic（Q：忘了题目，只知道选有毒的）。还有一种chemical transformation，化学能转化成光能，但是是冷光（cold light），prof称是冷光是因为没有heat，后改口，是没有measurable heat（Q：为什么要改口），举例：fluorescence（荧光）虽然发出的热少，但只发出微弱的光（gloom），这是缺点。两种device各有优缺点，所以希望能有ideal device，并解释ideal device是可以将能量百分之百的转化但现实并不存在（Q：什么是ideal device）

biology 保护性适应
动物逃避敌害的保护性适应。蜥蜴（lizard）的自截与再生，蜥蜴作为脊椎动物（vertebrate）尾巴中本来有fragment plate（小黑板尾骨），但自截以后再生的没有bone了。蜥蜴的尾巴贮存energy，所以尾巴断了以后还可以动一会，但蜥蜴断掉尾巴也cost 很多energy，它只能从各个部位挤出energy再生（Q：当蜥蜴在什么的时候自己in danger，好像是reproduct的时候吧因为没有足够energy）

Girl找prof问有没有多的名额去一个opera， prof说如果你早一周来还有，现在我都安排满了，没有票了。Girl说她本来上学期会选他的课的可是有conflict。Prof 建议1.购学生票2.volunteer in that opera. Girl 想volunteer，prof说这样就可以免费去，但不能坐着，而且不是这一期，（是四月的一期还是哪一期），girl说不要紧，她问可否说自己是prof的学生，这样有点recommend，prof说必须的，而且还要说一些opera相关的东西，这样会容易被接受。

art history
Prof先以考古发现的一个wood tool 为例，后面开始提到如何保存考古发现的古老的东西。Eg. 因为干燥和缺氧，King or queen 的tomb里的东西保存的很完好，但为什么flower也很好呢（Q：为什么要这样问）(因为要解释下面的方法不过没听清)。Electro……（小黑板）也是一种防止文物被腐蚀的方法，（可能是电镀之类）（Q：沉船为什么可以保存下来）……

Art history painting
一个人的画（无图），说画里有light 和shadow，stu说他的画里反映了一段什么故事。Prof说人们通过他的画非灰即白的空间，推测他可能是个lonely的人。并将他同当时其他画家比，stu说其他画家都会画beautiful sightseeing and skyscraper等modern elements，而这个人画一些urban，古老的，old fashioned的东西（Q：这个人爱画什么）但是年轻人喜欢他的画因为反映了当时的spirit（Q：为什么当时年轻人喜欢他的画）。

solution:
1.resort to her friend Maria to look after the pet. But Maria is busy with doing research of her study and Maria's home is far away from the girl's home which is unconvinient.
2.pay 100 dollars to the pet boarding facility to look after the pet.But it is a lilltle expensive.
my oppinion:
the later one. The stuff have in the pet boarding facillity have professional skill to take good care of pet, so she won't have to worry.
Task6: 2 drawbacks of franchising
1.lack of creation because the regulation. eg:一个餐馆分店的menu无法改
2.the fame of one brach influences others. eg:一个餐馆的店很脏，东西不好吃，去过人会觉得其他分店都这样

2.别的有个地方和这里类似，有类似的habitats被破花，也没见decline
3.这种beetle有strong sense of smell, can find food far away from itself. It bury food and make chemical smell to avoid other animals finding it.
