Always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship between people. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Nowadays, there is a question on whether people should be honest in any relationship among people. Opponents of honesty are those people who hold an idea that sometimes it would harm their own interests. On the contrary, there are also some people, including me, who hold the opinion that telling the truth has great significance for everyone in this world, for the reason that not only do they always have a lot of friends, they also promote a better and more peaceful work.
No one can deny the fact that people who are always honest would be respected by others, it also means that upright people have more friends in their daily life that those who often deceive their friends. From the most up dated survey conducted by biggest website sina.com, there are 85% people who received the interview consider that they are fond of talking or making friends with people who telling the truth all the time.
The impact of honesty has on all of us, is undeniable. There is a growing awareness that the negative influences that the people who are dishonest have brought to us. For example, an ever increasing number of business crime, the prevalence of fake medicine in society, the problem of truancy and cheat in exam in most students are all practical disadvantages that came about as a result of people’s dishonesty for the society. Hence, as a saying goes “virtue is beyond price.”
Yet, each coin has two sides, while people who are telling the truth has so many superior aspects the honest brought, simultaneously, it may also bring some negative effects. There is no controversy that treating all kinds of people veracious may expose our defects and shortcoming to others so as to they always use this chance damaging our interests. And also, if others who are opposite characteristics, we would feel that it is totally unworthy.
In conclusion, despite the fact that to tell the truth in any relationship between people does give rise to damages for us, the advantages of it easily surpass the minor defects when we take the view to scan the whole picture. Thus, I support the idea that telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship between people. |
