info about george washington university?

the URL is correct. You might just have to try again.

Overall, GWU is a high ranked private school in the US, well received by Americans. (I'd say it's between 25-40 depending on who did the ranking). because its location, its best known major/program both at the undergrad and grad level is international affairs/international politics. Lots of students end up working for the State Department and other federal agencies. B-school is OK, but definitely not in the top 25.

DC is a good location, especially if you consider working for places such as the World Bank or International Monetary Fund.

Who said that? Geroge Washington is just excellent in every aspect except for the crowded campus.

GW MBA is definited underranked, as most people agreed, since the placement for mba graduates were more in Federal Departments and World Bank etc. (think about it's location: blocks from the House, state department, capital hill, and world bank, federal reserve just right across the street), the average salary for government jobs was lower than what grads from other schools who go to F 500s got, thus lowering its ranking by some publications. But that's fine coz for international students, there are still a lot of corporational opportunities available for them in DC metro area.

Considering it's international recognition and location, if i were admited by GW and some top 30-40 schools, i would go to GW MBA.

agree with cyrix. I don't know much about placement for GW MBAs. But DC metro area has one of the lowest unemployment rate in the country, primarily because significant portion of the population work for the government or public sector. Considering the uncertainty with economy, it won't be such a bad option. And besides the public sector opportunities, there are lots of private companies in DC/MD/VA.

Salary in public sector is lower than F500 for sure, but not that much lower. And there are distinct advantages of working for govt and public sector. Crowded campus - yes. but that goes for many other universities located in large metro areas.

她读的那年就业形式不错(2000年,泡沫还没破),所以就留在美国工作了。不知道回国机会如何。没有问过她对学校评价如何,不好回答。
