Phd (accounting) program preference

Sorry to bother you at this time. Now I encounter a difficult choice which I have to make immediately. I am now doing my PHD study in accounting in a Hong Kong university. I have been here for about one year. Recently I got an offer from University of Washington. They asked me to enter their accounting PHD program this coming Spring festival. I am not sure whether I can transfer certain credits there. But I don't think it will do any favor cause a US university won't regard much about credits from other universities. So if I go to US I will have to abandon my current study here in Hong Kong, which means I will have wasted one-year time here. So will you guys give me some advice? Thank you all!
