C选项even if 后面这个和原文由什么关系。。。不懂。。

The main idea is : Peer-review process is time-wasting and should be abandoned.
Wait, what if people don't trust the new medical discoveries if they're not first published in peer-review journals? Then the aim to improve public health won't be realized.
So C is the Assumption we need.
