结合OG12的76和89请教大牛们关于Comparison的问题！

此题中答案的结构是 as much because X as because Y

89. Dirt roads may evoke the bucolic simplicity of another century, but financially strained townships point out that dirt road cost twice as much as maintaining paved roads.
(B) dirt roads cost twice as much to maintain as paved roads do.
此题中答案的结构是 X costs twice as much to maintains as Y

我的问题是看不透背后的语法规则，同样是as much as 中插入成分，他们语法上的区别在哪里？

第二个是X 动词. as much（ ...） as Y do(代替cost) 这里的maintain是X,Y共用的，而且分析结构时可以省略不看，为X as much as Y ,第一个是as much X as Y

其实楼主要记得， as much... as 属于比较范畴，比较的首先一个基本前提是，比较两边的对象要对等（语义上面需要），也就是所两者有的比才行。。多做几遍OG 就有感觉了

其实背后说白了，也是平行原则的一种变体。

既然 as much because 已经是固定的了后面肯定要as + 因为
因为逻辑上一定要对应

你看看A说的这么累赘，打死不选即使后面有 as because

as as 反正需要注意上逻辑意思的对应。
