So glad that you found our advice helpful my friend! : ) It is true that writing skills are NOT so critical for applications. What is critical, of course, is the ability to express your career vision, your goals, etc clearly. And with a 3.0 on the AWA, I fear that you may have some trouble expressing yourself clearly in English. This is not a writing contest of course, but at the same time you DO need to write clearly. Otherwise, all your hard work will be lost! Now in terms of specific programs, the Masters in Finance will be the broadest based program youve got, other of course than an MBA. The MFE programs are great if you want to focus hard on MATH. We tell all our clients that The MFE is basically the M. Fin for “math people.” And there are plenty of great programs, but for my money, a more general program is your best, smartest bet. Thats why I like the MBA so much--but the Masters in Finance is the broadest based one out there. So if youre not 100% sure that you want to do QUANT work your whole life, that is yoru best bet. Hope this helps, and good luck!
