Hi Jon (and other CDers), thank you for sharing your slides. I have a dilemma: I'm current working in US and recently received a job offer from my dream company; at the same time, I applied to a top MBA program and was accepted. Honestly, the offer I received was one of the best options that top B-School graduates could go. I'm not sure whether I should wait for another two years to take the job. Meanwhile, I always wanted to earn a business degree and think it's better to get it sooner (younger) than later (older).
So my questions are:
(1) Should I give up my job offer and choose the MBA or do the opposite?
(2) How important is an MBA degree in US companies (especially big firms)? I already have a non-MBA master degree from a US top school. Does US firms weigh MBA much more than regular Masters when considering promotions?
Thank you so much for your help! |
