各位前辈,很久之前收到这样一封邮件 是UTD发来的,不太理解: Naveen Jindal School of Management Dean's Excellence Scholarship Notification Congratulations, as a top performing student you have been selected to receive a UT Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management Dean's Excellence Scholarship for the Fall, 2012 semester. Although we have used up funds for our regular MS and PMBA program financial aid, we still have scholarships available for new students enrolling in our Joint MS-MBA program.
Enrolling in this program will not affect your pursuing your Master of Science degree which you will do first before completing the MBA. After you have finished the requirements for the MS, you can decide whether or not to continue on and get the MBA as well. This plan ensures that you can receive both degrees after only 63 total credit hours, 36 for the MS and an additional 27 for the MBA.
To receive your award, we ask that you agree to enroll in the UT Dallas MS-MBA program after you arrive this Fall. The one-time cash prize of $1,000 will be credited to your account at the Bursar's Office at the beginning of the semester. You will also receive Texas-resident status for tuition, reducing your tuition bill by about 50% for the 2012-2013 Academic Year.
The UT Dallas International Student Services Office (ISSO) will be notified of your award, and will take it into account when you apply for your I-20. If you have already applied for or received an I-20 based on your acceptance into a Master of Science program, you can apply for your visa with your existing I-20. You do not need to add the MBA program under the joint MS-MBA until you arrive on campus. However, if you want a new I-20 containing information about your award, which affects your stated financial needs, the UT Dallas International Student Services Office will be happy to issue you a new I-20. Please contact the International Student office directly at ISSOProspective@utdallas.edu">ISSOProspective@utdallas.edu.
If you have questions please email me. I need to know whether or not you accept this offer by April 10, 2012, after which, if we have not heard from you, we will give your scholarship to another applicant on our list. Looking forward to hearing from you. Eckel
