48 Educators should teach facts only after their students have studied the ideas, trends, and concepts that help explain those facts.







Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would orwould not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position.




The writer would prefer to claim that students should studied the ideas, trends, and concepts before teachers teach them. In my point of view, I agree with it generally. At the same time, however, in different situations, it is necessary to remember knowledge for students; otherwise, only teaching after understanding might erode purposes of education.



Admittedly, one reason why I fundamentally agree with the assertion is that after understanding the ideas, trends and concepts, it would beneficial to study. Because of learning those backgrounds, students may have more interests in those fields. How to make students interest in studying is the real ideal of education. The optimal approach to explaining the backgrounds is good to students. Thus, I think this view is realistic.



Aside from the forgoing one proviso, teaching after understanding is the best way to teach students. There have an experiment for illustrating this idea by a psychologist educator. The educator set a hundred students into two groups to study the American history to analysis which group has great score. The first group without any background about Roosevelt's "New Deal", however, the second group is opposite to the first group. The survey acclaims that the second group have better scores than the first one when they answer the same questions about the "New Deal" . Thus, teacher should teach facts after students have some backgrounds about those facts.



However, in some fields, only pursuing understanding is supposed to pose some certain disadvantages which might outweigh the benefits. Set the multiplication table
as an example. Every of us learn this in childhoods. Although it is hard for us to understand how the table comes out, it is necessary to recite it Moreover, if we recite the table, it also can mutually to assist us to comprehend the functions of the table. Therefore, the educator should not only look upon let students acknowledge the ideas, trends and concept firstly.



To sum up, it is difficulty to us to identify how to teach students before or after understanding. What we should do is balancing its internal factor and external factor. Personally speaking, it is recommend to analysis this issue through a case by case method. To some extend, reciting is a best way to teaching students, such as primary students. However, sometimes, understanding first also a best method to students with higher grade.

2月就要考试了,感觉作文越写越写的不怎么地,现在回头看看,发现第一篇100,反而是相对最好的!只要是限时间,字数就肯定上不来,然后思路就跟着跑,准备的例子也用不上,就是瞎编……
