关于facts和concept的issue

“Educators should teach facts only after their students have studied the ideas, trends, and concepts that help explain those facts. ”求问普渡哥等各位版主，这个issue困扰我很久了。北美范文facts他举的例子是背诵化学元素表，idea，trend，concept举的是了解元素周期表背后的故事等等。而最后一段去说idea，trend，concept “spring from” facts，这不是本末倒置了么？真心不明白这个题目到底在说什么!求问啊、、、

有些选修课，比如增加我们眼界，知识面的，了解性的课程，讲一些facts就够了；
很多专业课程，了解ideas, trends, and concepts which can help explain the facts会帮助我们更深地掌握这些facts.

最后一段去说idea，trend，concept “spring from” facts, 我觉得这是反例，就是并不一定先学idea, trend, concept,这些东西也可以从学习facts那里领悟到。。。
